Canon Launches Flash Based Camcorders

Do you have a camcorder? If you don't have one, then you should consider some new Canon's camcorders. There are eight consumers camcorder models. calls these models as Canon Legria. Those are Legria HF S21, HF S200, HF M31, HF M300, HF R16, HF R18, FS36, FS 306.Canon Launches Flash Based CamcordersEach of them is aimed at different market. The Canon Legria HF S, HF M, and HF R series have the Full HD (High Definition - 1920x1080) video. While the Canon FS series are able to record video in Standard Definition (SD) video. And the Legria HF S21 and HF M31/M300 will give you an intuitive touch screen.

Flash Memory

These new eight Canon's camcorders use flash memory as their storage, not a miniDV, DVD, or hard disk to save captured videos. Flash memory has become the trigger of video's development. Andrew Koh, the Director and General Manager of Consumer Imaging and Information Division at Canon Singapore, hopes that Flash memory will be a dominant storage format in the future. Canon started launching flash based camcorders in 2008.

In Indonesia, Canon launched Legria camcorder series in Surabaya, East Java, not in Jakarta like usual. After the launching, Canon held a demo in Bromo, a famous mountain in East Java.
